Lot 168 - 2 Numbered Bottles of 2017 Kistler

Bottle numbers 3912 & 3913 of Kistler from the McCrea Vineyard are 100% Chardonnay (kistlervineyards.com). Kistler wines made in the Sonoma Mountain are like hens teeth this side of the Atlantic, so they are very very special.

The bottles were purchased direct from the vineyard and are unavailable to purchase on the island!

A leading wine critic described this wine as "superb.....Sensual, silky and nuanced.....typical earthy, savoury notes that are signatures of the Sonoma Mountain are present but the 2017 also has an extra kick of fruit richness and floral lift that work beautifully in giving the wine an unusual level of complexity".
